Merry Christmas!

You ready for this one.. A combination of stamping, die cutting and embossing all rolled in to one.

Take your white base card and layer a slightly smaller dark blue matt on to it.
Next take a slightly smaller again piece of white card and using your Enchanting Snowflakes stamps create a border around the edge in different shades of blue then mount on to your base card and set aside.

Now take a piece of white card and die cut your Merry Christmas sentiment.  Set your actual wording aside and place the remainder of your card inside Large Snowflake Lattice folder and emboss.  Now layer this embossed section on to a slightly larger piece of dark blue card and mount on to your base card.

Time to create that shadow effect!  Take your previously die cut sentiment and using either foam pads or silicone gel (it's personal preference) slightly offset your sentiment on top of your embossed layer.  Voila.. Your blue is showing and creating a shadow!

Finally for those finishing touches we added a pearl flourish to the bottom right hand corner along with a bow and a simple pearl in all four corners.

Happy Crafting

O Holy Night

This is one for you folks out there who like to get inky.  You ready?

Take an appropriate sized piece of white card and colour using your distress inks.  Using your O Holy Night stamps you want to stamp your sentiment in the upper right hand corner then add a few flourishes around the edges.  Now run your quickie glue pen around the edges and add some glitter before layering on to a slightly larger black matt.  This can now be adhered to your base card.

Next you want to cut a piece of white card slightly larger than your Heirloom Ornament die and colour as before and finally cut to shape.  Now stamp your image on to the bauble, adding some flourishes around the edge again and that all important glitter..  well it is Christmas afterall lol.  Now we want to lift some colour from our main stamped image and we do this very simply using a water brush.  Remember your distress inks are water based so they will lift easily when water is applied.

Next we want to layer our bauble on to some black card and using the die as a guide cut around the shape leaving a small black border then repeat this process on white card.

Finally we layer our bauble on to our base card, add some embellishments to create that all important 'hanging' bauble and a bow on top.

Gosh folks we're actually doing quite well on the Christmas card production line aren't we!

No Peeking!

Wowser..  you ready for this quickie make folks???

Emboss your base card with a snow effect and set aside.
Die cut your 'No Peeking' in red & green card.
Cut an appropriate sized circle using Grand Circles and emboss with a snow effect.  Edge your circle with some glitter for added sparkle.
Layer your circle on to a piece of patterned paper and mount your 'No Peeking' in the centre of the circle then wrap a piece of trim (we used mini pom pom) towards the bottom of your matt.
Mount on to a layer of green card and then on to your base card.
Add a pom pom to the hat for that final touch.

Bet you could have made this card almost as quickly as I typed this post lol.

Merry Christmas Tree

Okay folks what do we have for you today..  how about something with a little dimension?

Now you've got the list of required ingredients so let's roll.

Cut a piece of green card using Grand Labels 1.

Take a piece of white card and emboss with a lattice design before cutting a slightly smaller layer than your previous green one.  Matt the white on to the green.

Now using decorative labels 1 create a red layer and mount on to the previous section.

Again emboss a piece of white card with a lattice design and die cut using grand labels 1, and yep you guessed it..  layer on to the red.

Now comes the dimension!  Using the 3D Christmas Tree you want to cut 2 green trees and some gold mirri baubles and a star.  Score your trees down the centre, attach to one another and once you have stuck your tree to the card you can pull 2 of the sections forward and there like magic is your dimension which can just as easily be flattened for posting.  Attach your baubles and star now.

Finally using Labels 1 cut one piece of green and one of white,  stamp a sentiment on your white label before gluing both segments together and mounting on your card.

Wonder what our next project will be???  Guess you'll just need to check back later to find out lol.

Have a creative day wherever you are!

Picture Perfect

Right folks here we go again with another fabulous Christmas design as we know so many of you are already preparing and many are also selling at your local craft fairs up and down the country.

Here goes with todays creation.

First up we created our own shaped base card using the Grand Labels 1 nestabilities and embossed with a snow fall folder.  Next up die cut a smaller frame in blue card stock and adhere to your base card.  Repeat this process with white card (again embossed) and mount on to the blue card.  Set this section aside.

Now take your Picture Perfect die and cut from some white glitter card.  Next, take some blue card and using your grand labels 1 cut to the same size as Picture Perfect.  Emboss and gently sand back so some of the core shows.  Now layer your glittered Picture Perfect image on top.  This can now be mounted to the base section you originally set aside.

For those finishing touches cut some Snowflake Bliss in alternative colours and layer in the bottom corner, a holiday greeting at the top a few elegant pearls..  voila we are done!

Happy card making!

Holiday Greetings

Welcome all to the new Craft World blog where we hope to be able to provide you with some inspiration by sharing our DesignTeams creations and to get us under starters orders we thought we'd race ahead with this fabulous 'Holiday Greetings' design.

Now we all know how time flies the closer Christmas gets and we want those quick and easy designs without losing the WOW factor so let's break this one down.

We have die cut the Spellbinders Holiday Greetings on a piece of patterned card and edged it with some frantage.  This has then been layered on to a piece of red card followed by green card and set aside for the moment.

Next up you want to edge a piece of patterned card with some more frantage and set aside.

Take a strip of patterned paper and layer on to a strip of green card before attaching to the previous layer of frantage edged patterned card.

Now take this section and mount on to a base layer of red card.  Take the original section you put to the side and mount this in the centre of your card.

The finishing touch is a simple bow on the left hand side of the design.

Well we hope you enjoyed our opening project and stop by regularly for more inspiration.
